Fort Collins Mural Project (FCMP) works to pair regional artists residing in Colorado of varied experience with walls in Fort Collins, CO.

Artists are selected based on their interest, style, and content of recent work. FCMP is dedicated to empowering local and emerging artists of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities.

Painted a ton of murals? Please apply!

Artists who are flexible, have a clear vision, and a representation of painted work make the best candidates for FCMP.
Independent artists and artist teams residing in Colorado are welcome to apply.
Persons requiring accommodations are welcome to apply.

Note: If selected as an FCMP artist, you will be asked to create a mock-up to use in pairing you with a wall. Do not submit a mock-up in your application, you deserve to be hired before creating your work!

2025 Timeline:

Call for Artists: 3/11 - 4/1 11:59 pm MTN
Notification of Selection by 4/15
Artist Confirmation of Participation due 4/29
Mock Ups of selected artist are due by 6/1
Mural Project Week: Saturday, September 6 - Saturday, September 13.

Stipend: Each artist will be paid $7.50 a square foot plus a $200-250 supply stipend depending on the size of their wall.

FCMP will provide lifts and scaffolding as the fest team deems necessary and do check-ins during painting to provide support, snacks, and drinks.

We will also ensure you get plenty of opportunities to meet up with your fellow muralists to commiserate, learn from each other, and form relationships.
